So: What was it REALLY like to meet my son for the first time? What were the “inside” thoughts I had when he regressed to infant behaviors (yes, diapers and bottles)? What did people say to my face when they realized I was “keeping” the boy with so many problems?

Oh my goodness… There is so much more of the story to be told!

I can’t wait to hear what your favorite part of the book is. What made you cry? What made you laugh?

I’ll have the links to pre-order / order soon!!

In the meantime, I want to send a legit and LOUD…

THANK YOU!!

to the following people who were an important part of the book writing process:

Kathe Wunnenberg @ Hopelifters Unlimited. She encouraged me to tap into my natural gifts and wait on God to direct my steps. She helped me to hone in on a vision for my writing career. And…. here it is: Increased Capacity. I was inspired by Habakkuk 2:2-3 in the Bible regarding writing when inspired/directed and allowing God to direct the next steps. I need to trust Him and invite Him to orchestrate the editing, publishing, and audience engagement.

Lesia Knudsen, my Insta-Friend and Mentor @ https://lesiaknudsen.com/
She encourages me to speak in truth, step out boldly, and not be afraid of who I am or what I have to say. She checks in on me and brightens my day. Lesia, I am honored to feature a woman of your worth in my book’s Foreword. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for keepin’ it real.

Sandra Marinella @ The Story You Need To Tell. Hey, there was a time when I was writing the book and just got… stuck. Shut down, really. Writing about hard times is hard. I had to sort-of re-live those moments and it was hurtful. I went to a workshop provided by Sandra and she helped me to give myself permission to struggle, soak in that weakness, and use it to motivate/inspire or propel myself into a new writing angle. I came out with three chapters marked “FINISHED.” I highly recommend her as a therapeutic writing coach.

And there is one more very special woman who deserves credit…

Rebecca Dockum @ Future Published Author (believin’ it!). This awesome lady saw me walk into a “Book Club” with nothing and no clue what I was doing there. I brought in a blog post and let people knock me down and rip it to shreds. Then she saw me walk back in a week later with my chin high and a crazy idea: This “nobody blogger” was going to write a book! She kept me sane, surrounded by critics of all kinds, and held me accountable to my writing goals. I *could not* have done this without a friend like her.

My Inspiration!
