Girl, Stop Acting Like a Rock!
Girl, You’re a ruby. So, stop acting like a rock.
Don’t you know? You’re a diamond.
Stop acting like it’s rough.
You were made this way,
Now behave this way.
As a gem within the Earth
It’s time for you to birth.
As treasure, you should shine… not stay within your box.
For His kingdom, we’ve been forged… fired to perfection.
Emerging onyx, turquoise, opal and quartz.
We radiate His glory
Far beyond this allegory.
For our good,
We must sustain
Facets cut
Not for loss
But gain
Becoming more brilliant and intense in our complexion.
Though our colors and crystals differ by name
We are beautifully displayed if we’ve chosen to obey.
When we cover up with dirt
And reclaim our prior hurts,
We no longer can reflect
The light
He projects.
“My Daughter, don’t you know how you’ve been remade?”
“When I look at you, I see your worth.”
“You shine
When you sing,
And when you are
Still.”
“I adorn my crown with you all around.”
“Do not be deceived
By those who would thieve.
Because you have believed
You’re more precious
Than there are
Words.”
